Hours after Selena Gomez dropped her new song, “Lose You to Love Me,” Taylor Swift took to her Instagram Story to show the Disney alum, 27, support, and it’s so sweet.

“This song is a perfect expression of healing and my absolute favorite song she’s put out yet,” the “Lover” singer, 29, wrote on a screengrab of the single. “A triumph. I love you so much, @selenagomez.” Taylor and Selena have been through so much together, so it’s no surprise she has Sel’s back. As her bestie, Taylor prob knows who the song is about, and based on the lyrics, many fans suspect it’s based on her past romance with Justin Bieber.

“I gave my all and they all know it/ Then you turned me down and now it’s showing/ In two months, you replaced us/ Like it was easy/ Made me think I deserved it/ In the thick of healing, yeah,” Selena sings in the second verse of the vulnerable track. “My heart hurts so much listening to Selena’s perceptive for the first time in years. The song is so much bigger than just her and Justin’s relationship now,” tweeted one fan. “The new Selena Gomez song is so good that it makes me feel like I’m the one getting over Justin Bieber,” wrote a second person.

Selena and Justin were on and off for years. In May 2018, the former flames broke up for good. “Selena started seeing the bigger picture when it came to their relationship,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “Like what was more important: her general happiness and her family and friends approval, or her being together with Justin, where no one really supported their relationship.”

“She obviously chose happiness and her friends and family and is so thrilled about her decision-making process,” the insider added. “She feels more empowered than ever and is looking forward to this next chapter.”

Shortly after Jelena split once and for all, he started dating Hailey Baldwin, whom he proposed to in July 2018. By September of the same year, the two got secretly married in a NYC courthouse. Shortly after, Selena went to a rehabilitation center after experiencing an emotional breakdown. It’s been a year, and Selena’s “finally in a good place, and happier than ever,” according to a source who exclusively spoke to Life & Style in June. You go, girl!
