When Does ‘The Artful Dodger’ Season 2 Come Out? Here’s Everything We Know About the Hulu Show
Get ready to pickpocket your way back into Port Victory — The Artful Dodger is returning for Season 2! The Australian Disney+ historical heist series, inspired by Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist, will drop all episodes on February 10, 2026, on Disney+ and Hulu. Co-created by James McNamara, the series stars Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Dr. Jack Dawkins — the grown-up Artful Dodger living a double life as a respected surgeon in 1850s Australia. David Thewlis returns as Norbert Fagin and Maia Mitchell plays Lady Belle Fox, the governor’s ambitious daughter who’s determined to forge a career in medicine — and maybe catch Jack’s eye.
Joining the cast this season are Luke Bracey as Inspector Boxer, Jeremy Sims as Uncle Dickie and Zac Burgess as Phineas Golden.
Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand SVP Kylie Watson-Wheeler raved about the return: “We’re excited our fan-favourite Aussie original is back for a second season. It has more romance, adventure and razor-sharp wit, plus several new faces. The show’s return is a testament to its local and international success and the high-calibre talent involved, both in front and behind the camera.” She also teased the upgraded production: “We’ve further elevated the production with intricate new costuming and sets that take audiences even deeper into the adrenaline-pumping world of The Artful Dodger.”
Thomas opened up about what drew him to the role: “I always liked the character, the Artful Dodger. He’s my favorite character in Oliver!. He’s the fun, and in some ways perhaps, the most relatable, too… I liked the idea of a Dodger grown up and trying his hand at a different style of life and attempting to break away from what we all know him as being, a street urchin.”
Maia shared similar thoughts: “I was just looking for something transported you to another world… I was excited to do something that was a little more genre and that was a little more of a challenge.”
