Ready to cry your eyeballs out today? OK, maybe not, but … are you ready to cry your eyeballs out today over the power of love? Yeah, we figured you might. Thanks to this incredible viral proposal, you’re about to get your wish. YouTuber Lee Loechler took to the platform to share how he popped the question to his childhood sweetheart on January 9 — and it involved a doctored version of Disney classic Sleeping Beauty.

Already No. 4 on YouTube’s overall trending videos and with over 2.5 million views, the three-and-a-half minute video began pretty unassumingly. The soon-to-be fiancé and his girlfriend sat in a small movie theater, watching the animated classic. It came down to the pivotal scene where Prince Charming kisses Aurora, but it seemed like her skin and hair color had changed to match Lee’s real-life lady love’s.

Turns out, the excited boyfriend had an artist do a little rendering of both his girl and himself for the scene, transforming them into cartoon characters in the climactic moment. It caught her attention and the small theater gave some laughs. Finally, Lee’s prince character took out a box with a ring inside.

After a smile from his girlfriend’s princess character, Lee’s prince tossed the ring box off-screen … and the real-life Lee caught it. Oh yeah, the tears started flowing right around here. He got down on one knee in front of his real-life princess and began to ask the biggest question of his life thus far.

“It’s not every day you get to propose to your high school sweetheart,” he started his speech while the doppelgänger characters watched with sweet smiles on-screen. “So, I just want to take my time. Savor this moment.” Lee’s prince character then lifted his arm, a ticking watch on his wrist, as if to say “hurry up, dude.”

“Hey, excuse me, do you mind?” he told the character. “It’s kind of a big moment.” The audience laughed at the intricacy before he continued, letting his girlfriend know that the entire theater was full of their family and friends, who were in on the plan.

“I love you with my whole heart,” Lee gushed. “With all it’s ventricles, atriums, valves … she’s a cardiologist,” he said of his soon-to-be wife. “Sthuthi David, M.D., will you live happily ever after with me?” Needless to say, Sthuthi said yes and the room erupted in applause. The three fairies from the film clapped happily as the ending song “Once Upon a Dream” played out the lovely moment.

But it didn’t end there — Lee also had the ending of the film doctored, too. As the storybook closed on an image of the cartoon couple, Lee had “The Beginning” added after the classic “The End” as the movie faded to black. On top of that, he also had a hilarious B-Cut for after the proposal, just in case she turned him down. LOL!

If you’ve been a bit cynical in love lately, this is sure to turn your ‘tude around. Congrats, you two!
