Tom Brady Fires Back at Kevin Hart Months After Comedian’s Jokes About Gisele Bundchen
Zing! Tom Brady fired back at comedian Kevin Hart during the 2025 Super Bowl, nine months after the actor joked about the NFL legend’s divorce from Gisele Bündchen during his Netflix roast.
“Kevin Hart’s here. How do the cameras find Kevin Hart?” Tom, 47, joked to fellow Fox Sports commentator Kevin Burkhardt as the two provided play-by-play for football’s biggest game on Sunday, February 9. The retired quarterback was seemingly referring to Kevin’s 5-foot-5 stature.
Tom assured viewers that the dig was nothing personal and that it was his chance to get back at Kevin, 45, for all of the jokes at his expense during The Roast of Tom Brady on May 5, 2024.
“Kevin, I love you. You took so many shots at me in May. I’m coming right at you,” Tom said of the Philadelphia Eagles fan after a montage was shown of the team’s celebrity fans in attendance at the Super Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Ride Along star led a slew of comedians in roasting Tom during the live Netflix telecast. He was the first to make the seven-time Super Bowl champ’s divorce from ex-wife Gisele, 44, fair game.
“Gisele gave you an ultimatum. She said you have to retire, or you’re done. But when you have a chance to go 8-9 you gotta do it,” Kevin joked while Tom blushed.
Kevin then brought Gisele’s boyfriend, jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente, into the mix.
After a joke about Tom’s former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, the Night School star added, “Tom, you f–ked your coach, but let me tell you something people … that’s what you’ve got to do to maintain your happiness. You sometimes got to f–k your coach. You know who else f–ked their coach? Gisele. She f–ked that karate man.”
He continued, “I mean Jesus Christ, Tom. One of the smartest quarterbacks ever played a game. How did you not see this coming? Eight f–king karate classes a day. … Eight karate classes a day and she’s still a white belt. F–k Tom. The only bruises she had were on her ass. Everybody should have known it.”
Tom and Gisele announced their divorce after 13 years of marriage in October 2022, following months of speculation that their relationship was in trouble.
Tom later said he was OK with the jokes about himself and his career, but regretted the barbs pointed toward his family.
“I loved when the jokes were about me,” the NFL analyst said during an appearance on “The Pivot” podcast on May 14, 2024, following the roast.
“I thought they were so fun. I didn’t like the way it affected my kids. So, it’s the hardest part about, like the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way and then all of a sudden you realize ‘I wouldn’t do that again’ because of the way that it affected, actually, the people I care about the most in the world,” he added.
Tom shares a son, Jack, with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, and two children with Gisele: son Benjamin and daughter Vivian.
Gisele welcomed her first child with Joaquim, 37, in early 2025.
Kevin responded to Tom’s regrets during a July 18, 2024, appearance on Bleacher Report.
“When he says he regretted doing it, I think what he’s referring to is, ‘I could have tapered it a little differently, saying or having a conversation pre of, like, ‘Guys let’s go and do this, but let’s not touch this or this,'” the roast master explained.
Kevin added, “Also, like, what it did for comedy and, like, our climate of sensitivity, I think it was necessary and valuable.”
