Tommy Lee and Brittany Furlan’s Marital ‘Issues’ Run ‘Much Deeper’ Than Her Catfishing Scandal

Tommy Lee and estranged wife Brittany Furlan split amid her confession to being a victim of catfishing. A source exclusively tells Life & Style that the duo’s marriage had much “deeper” issues prior to the online affair scandal involving a Ronnie Radke imposter.

“Tommy and Brittany are going through it. Their marriage wasn’t perfect before, but it did come to a head with her catfishing drama,” the insider reveals. “Tommy felt betrayed and just lost it and now they’re separated.”

“They were already having issues. It’s clear there were some secrets and deception before,” the source continues.

“This whole thing is embarrassing for Brittany, and Tommy says he just needs time to figure things out. Bottom line, their issues were much deeper than Brittany chatting with a wannabe Ronnie Radke. Hopefully they’ll work things out,” the insider says.

The former Vine star, 38, confirmed in a TikTok video on May 17 that the pair were no longer living together. Brittany revealed that she was involved in an online affair that turned into a catfishing scandal involving someone pretending to be Falling in Reverse lead singer Ronnie, 41.

“Obviously, I’m in a hotel right now. I’ve been going through a really tough time in my marriage, which was none of anyone’s f–king business, but he’s made it everyone’s business,” Brittany said at the start of the seven-minute video while referring to Ronnie.

“Basically, I told my husband everything,” Brittany said to viewers about Tommy, 62. “I said, you know, ‘I’ve been talking to whoever I thought this was on Snapchat — he says it’s not him, cool, whatever — ‘cause I’m a good person. I mean, I’m not a good person for talking to someone while married. I’ve been going through a lot in my marriage. No excuse, whatever.”

“There’s no excuse, but I came clean. I’m a good person,” she added about revealing the catfishing to Tommy.

Ronnie shared a TikTok and Instagram video on May 12, where he called out “gullible people.” He shared his correct social media accounts along with ones that weren’t him, adding how he’s “never had a Snapchat.”

“Y’all can’t be so damn dumb please,” Ronnie wrote in the caption while discussing how many women had been catfished into believing they were talking to him online.

He didn’t name Brittany at the time, but she revealed that the person who she believed was Ronnie had been in contact via Snapchat.

Ronnie claimed Tommy had threatened him after believing it was him that Brittany was corresponding with. He said he went public about the Pennsylvania native catfishing claims after the musician had been hounding him.

“The only reason why I made it public is because your husband won’t stop yelling at me,” Ronnie told viewers in an Instagram video on May 18. “Imagine you grow up looking up to someone like Tommy Lee and then all of a sudden out of nowhere he’s like, ‘You’re f–king my wife!’ And I’m like, ‘What?! I have no idea what you’re talking about!’ Both of you came into my life for no reason.”

The Mötley Crüe drummer hinted about the scandal on May 16, sharing an Instagram post that simply asked, “Who’s been catfished?”

Tommy also seemingly intimated at issues with Brittany in an Instagram video on May 15. He was seen in a recording studio listening to a music track he recorded.

“Ironically, I’ve been working on this song called ‘Stupid Girl.’ Wow,” he cryptically told viewers, shaking his head seemingly in disbelief.

“Everything has its place and time and this one hits it right on the head Stupid girl!” he wrote in the caption.

Fans quickly picked up on how the post might be about Brittany, with at least one person noticing that Tommy had unfollowed his wife on Instagram.

Additionally, the “Girls, Girls, Girls” musician shared several reflective Instagram Reels on Monday, May 19, following Brittany’s public catfishing confession.

In one, Indian guru Sadhguru explained, “If you love somebody, you should have no opinion – that’s what love means. Love means you are willing to nurture another life, without forming opinions – that’s what love means. We have loved ones, we have strong opinions each other – no, that means you are trying to fix life.”

A second Reel said, “You can offer all the light and love in the world, but if someone hasn’t ventured into their own shadows, they will only be able to meet you on the surface.”

Tommy then shared an Instagram Story that read, “Due to personal reasons, I’ll be turning things up a f–king notch,” although he hasn’t yet revealed what that entails.
