Travis Kelce Says He’d Rather Get a Brazilian Wax Than Rewatch Catching Kelce Ever Again

Travis Kelce has made it clear that revisiting his short-lived reality TV past is not on his to-do list.

During the Wednesday, December 31 podcast episode of New Heights, which he cohosts with brother Jason Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end found himself confronted with an uncomfortable question from a fan.

As part of the show’s “No Dumb Questions” segment, the fan asked Travis: “Would you rather be forced and tortured watching Catching Kelce on a loop for the rest of your life or get Brazilian waxed like Jason?”

Travis didn’t pause before answering. “I’d rather get Brazilian waxed. Are you kidding me?” he said.

Jason didn’t argue. The retired Eagles center who previously went viral for getting waxed before wearing a Speedo at a Philadelphia charity event was fully on board. “Yeah. Just rip it off,” he said. “Easy decision.”

Even after acknowledging the pain involved, Travis doubled down. “But yeah, I’d rather just get my gooch waxed.”

The reaction is hardly surprising for fans familiar with Travis’ feelings about Catching Kelce, the E! dating show that aired in 2016. The series followed the Ohio native as he dated 50 women over seven episodes in hopes of finding a romantic match.

Looking back, Travis has repeatedly described the show as a misstep. “The worst thing I ever did was the dating show,” he said on the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast in July.

Filmed shortly after his rookie NFL season, Travis admitted he didn’t fully understand what signing on for reality TV would mean long-term. “It didn’t set me up for anything. I didn’t realize what reality TV really was,” he said, before adding with a laugh, “I don’t even think anybody watched it.”

While he acknowledged that filming was fun at the time, the permanence of it all caught him off guard. Travis said he hadn’t considered that “everybody is going to be able to see this forever.”
