President Donald Trump Wasn’t With First Lady Melania During Stormy Daniels Interview
Trouble in paradise? On Sunday night, Stormy Daniels got the 60 Minutes treatment, where she detailed her 2006 affair with President Donald Trump. His wife, Melania Trump, was rumored to be nervous about what the porn star would expose during the special — and it turns out she and her husband weren’t together while it aired.
“The First Lady will be staying in Florida as is their tradition for spring break,” deputy press secretary Lindsay Walters said. Melania, The Apprentice alum, and their son, Barron, spent time at the Mar-a-Lago resort before Donald flew back to the White House — an hour before Stormy’s interview with host Anderson Cooper started.
In the explosive hour-long special, Stormy detailed their meet-up, taking hush money, and more explicit details surrounding the scandal. The mother-of-one’s 60 Minutes episode came on the heels of In Touch publishing a 5,000-word interview recounting their alleged tryst. Prior to Sunday, the first lady was allegedly “preparing for the worst.” Melania is also allegedly not pleased with the amount of negative attention their relationship receives these days.
“What’s happening is exactly what she didn’t want to happen. They’ve literally become like the Kardashians: scandals, divorces, headlines,” a source told People last week. “No one was paying attention to her two years ago. They went about their day. Now it’s a 24/7 tornado. She hates it.”
“She was able to do whatever she wanted and have her family with her much of the time,” another insider shared, adding she’d head to down Mal-a-Largo to “shop, use the spa and have her family dine outside with her.”
While Stormy coming forward was bad enough, Melania’s nightmare grew worse last week when former Playboy model Karen McDougal claimed she had a 10-month long affair with Donald before his presidency. At this point, many feel divorce may be imminent for America’s first couple.
