Tyga Is Pressing Pause on His Rap Career — Because He Just Got a Job as an Actor!
Something to scream about? Tyga is pressing pause on his rap career for a bit — because he just got a job as an actor on Season 3 of MTV’s scripted show Scream!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the “Rack City” rapper, 27, has been selected to play a leading role in the next installment of the series, which will premiere in March 2018. The outlet reports that Season 3 of Scream — based off of the hit horror film franchise of the late ‘90s and early ’00s — will have an entirely new cast and will be executive produced by Queen Latifah. Production will also be moving to Atlanta from Louisiana.

While he’s previously appeared in movies such as Once Upon a Time in Venice and Barbershop: The Next Cut, this marks Tyga’s first role as a series regular on a television show. The hip-hop star (real name: Michael Ray Stevenson) will play Jamal, a young man with a big heart who falls in with the wrong crowd.
News of Tyga’s TV gig comes just days after he was spotted hooking up with a mystery blonde (who looks nothing like his ex Kylie Jenner, BTW) on Sunday, July 9, at the Wireless Festival in London. According to the Daily Mail, the unidentified beauty “was flirting with him and caressing his arm lovingly.”

As previously reported, Kylie, 19, and T-Raww called it quits on their years-long, on-and-off romance earlier this year. Since then, the teen cosmetics mogul has moved on with another rapper, Travis Scott.

The pair recently proved their commitment to one another when they showed off matching tattoos on social media back in June. The couple shared photos of their tiny butterfly tattoos on their respective Snapchat accounts. They each got inked on the bottom of their left legs.
An insider previously told Life & Style that Kylie and Travis, 25, got married in a super secret ceremony at her Beverly Hills mansion — a move that no doubt infuriated Tyga.
“Tyga will be upset,” a source told us. “But he won’t necessarily be surprised. He felt Kylie was so immature. The two of them together were just nothing but fighting and drama all the time.”
