Kylie Jenner and Sofia Richie Are Officially #BestieGoals! See How Their Friendship Came to Be

“Kylie and Sofia have always run in the same circle and are very close in age, so they’ve bonded a lot through the years,” an insider previously told Us Weekly of how the pair came to be BFFs. “They’ve always been in the limelight, lived very similar lifestyles and grown up around a lot of the same people.”

Based on that information, you may be wondering why Sofia and Kylie seemingly grew apart at one point. Well, when things between Sofia and Kourtney Kardashian’s baby daddy, Scott Disick, started heating up in September 2017, Kylie distanced herself.

Given how loyal the Kar-Jenner sisters are to each other, it’s not entirely surprising that the makeup mogul took Kourtney’s side. However, once the Poosh.com founder, 40, finally accepted Scott’s relationship with Sofia, Kylie took the opportunity to reconnect.

Of course, it took Kourtney roughly two years to come around to the idea of Scott and Sofia being serious together. It wasn’t really until the trio’s trip to Cancun in December 2018 that the dust settled. 

“They’ve gotten a lot closer as of late now that the Kourtney, Scott and Sofia drama has died down,” the source revealed to the outlet. “Once any drama between Kourtney and Sofia blew over, Kylie felt more comfortable spending girl time with Sofia again.” Of course, “girl time” for Kylie and Sofia isn’t sleepovers and braiding each other’s hair — it’s epic parties, vacations all over the world and glamorous dinners.

For starters, Sofia was in attendance at Kylie’s luxurious getaway to Turks & Caicos for the launch of Kylie Skin in July. The stunning besties soaked up the sun and promoted each other’s products on Instagram. Have you ever heard of anything more 2019? We don’t think so!

Shortly after that, things escalated pretty quickly! Fast forward a month later, and Sofia was boarding a private jet to vacation in the Mediterranean with Kylie, her posse and some family members. Upon returning, it seemed as though Kylie and Sofia’s friendship was stronger than ever. So much so, that they hopped back on a private jet and flew to Las Vegas to celebrate Sofia’s 21st birthday on August 24.

“Sofia and Kylie get along like best girlfriends. Super high energy. Kylie was celebrating her for her b-day, so when they were dancing she was playing around with her like a little sister,” an eyewitness revealed to Life & Style of the girls partying at Wynn Las Vegas. “She picked her up and was swinging her around.”
