Inside ‘Summer House’ Star Lexi Wood’s Relationship With Her Parents: Meet the Model’s Mom and Dad
Lexi Wood gave Summer House fans everything they needed from a rookie cast member during season 9. Not only did the model mesh well with her female castmates and embark on a toxic summer romance with Jesse Solomon, but she also introduced viewers to her tight-knit family. Not to mention, Lexi’s family even met Jesse offcamera, weeks after they first met.
During a seafood boil at the summer house, Jesse shared his experience meeting Lexi’s parents for the first time at the New York eatery Pier 16.
“We started with drinks, then we went back to her apartment and probably drank for 4 [to] 5 hours and then went to the club until 2:30 [a.m.],” Jesse told his costars.
Kyle Cooke asked if Lexi’s parents joined in on the fun, to which both he and Lexi confirmed.
Although the Wood family lives in Toronto, they often travel to New York for business obligations.

Scott Wood is the patriarch of the family, but he is the only member of the brood who hasn’t made his Summer House debut. That said, he doesn’t miss out on the family’s wild nights out and goes to the club with his wife, Shannon Wood, and daughters Lexi and Tiffany Wood.
“Club owners, like, know my parents by name,” Lexi said during a season 9 episode of Summer House. “I’ll literally be like, ‘Hey, rolling up with my parents,’ and they’ll be like, ‘Slay, this is great!'”
Unlike the women in the family, Scott maintains a discrete profile on social media, but his wife makes up for his absence. When he’s not enjoying a wild night out on the town with his girls, Scott is a firefighter, according to Distractify.
As of February 2024, he has been married to Shannon for 31 years.

Lexi got it from her momma! Shannon has maintained her strong bond with her daughters and introduced Lexi to the modeling world, as she used to pose in front of the camera herself. These days, Shannon works behind the scenes to help Lexi’s modeling career flourish.
“I used to have managers all over the world. Milan, Paris, New York. And, recently, I got rid of all of my agencies and managers, and now I’m working with my mom and sister,” Lexi explained during a confessional interview in Summer House season 9.
In June 2024, Shannon opened up about undergoing surgery to remove a spot of skin cancer on her face.
“Hi friends! I’m currently recovering from facial surgery from basal cell carcinoma removal. I wanted to create this post to share that even the ‘good’ kind of skin cancer is important to pay attention to,” the family matriarch captioned her Instagram post at the time, alongside a photo of her post-surgery stitches. “I misdiagnosed myself with psoriasis because that’s what it looked like. Skin cancer can present in many forms – most of what we hear is about moles. Please pay attention to any marks that pop up on your body! What started as a small red mark turned into something much bigger and more serious. If I had waited any longer to have this removed my surgery and recovery would have been much more serious too. Remember to protect yourself from the sun and check your skin frequently! A margarita stays colder in the shade anyway!”
