While Ciara has graced the American Music Awards stage in the past as a performer, this time around, she will be hosting for the very first time. It’s already bound to be a memorable night thanks to the Grammy Award-winning artist who always delivers.

“I am so excited to finally share that I will be hosting this year’s @AMAs,” the 34-year-old tweeted on Thursday, November 14. “LIVE Sunday, November 24th at 8/7c on ABC! Let’s go!” Ciara isn’t the only one looking forward to this; fans are too.

“Yes Queen! So proud of you and this monumental year,” tweeted one person. “Now I’ll definitely be watching. Congrats,” a second fan wrote. “Congratulations! I have high hopes that you’ll open up with an exquisite performance,” a third person divulged. Hey, it’s Ciara — anything can happen. However, some celebs who are confirmed to perform this year at the AMAs are Kesha and Big Freedia.

When Ciara took the stage last year, she wowed the audience when she performed “Level Up” with Missy Elliot. It’s safe to say she can do no wrong! Most recently, the “1,2 Step” crooner was praised for her amazing Halloween costume alongside her husband, Russell Wilson. The two dressed up as Beyoncé and Jay-Z in their iconic “APES**T” music video. They even went the extra mile and recreated parts of Jay and Bey’s video. Can we say couple goals?!

Not only is Ciara an amazing musician, performer and creative genius, but she’s also a great role model. The brunette beauty may appear confident to the world, but that wasn’t always the case. She recently revealed how she began accepting and loving herself for her imperfections. “I think it’s the idea of you wear the makeup, the makeup doesn’t wear you,” she divulged during the Los Angeles Beautycon Festival in August. “And I had to really grab that idea. I kind of figured it out a little bit later in life.”

“I love getting glammed up and I liked who I was with the makeup,” she added. “I like getting my makeup done … I can’t lie. I wish I could wake up every day and get my makeup done but that’s not realistic. For me, I got to start feeling good about who I am before any brush is painted on my face.” Well said, girl.

We can’t wait to see how stunning she looks at the AMAs!
