We're a couple days away from the finale of Rachel Lindsay's Bachelorette season, but Life & Style has exclusively learned that her friends are disappointed with the decision she made. “Rachel’s friends are worried that she’s just blinded by the ring and not really paying attention to the actual person she chose,” an insider shares. “The runner-up has all the qualities Rachel was looking for, and everybody thinks they would have been much better together.”
The insider claims the 32-year-old beauty struggled over who to give her final rose to. “Rachel really didn’t know who to choose. She made a last-minute decision on the day of the final rose taping. She didn’t give it enough thought," the insider admits.
Despite the naysayers, the attorney is sticking to her gut feeling. “She told the runner-up not to contact her because she said it wouldn't be fair,” the insider shares. “While her decision was excruciatingly difficult to come to, it was final. And Rachel wants to think she made the right one.” But a Bachelorette source adds, “The winner started off for the wrong reasons. He went on the show hoping to become the next Bachelor.”
As Life & Style previously reported, the Texan's proposal was far from perfect. "The fairy-tale moment that Rachel was dreaming of her whole life was a complete ordeal. It was the proposal from hell. She even considered walking away from the whole thing because she was terrified of making the wrong choice," a source told In Touch. "In her mind, this whole thing was going to end differently."
Ultimately, although the runner-up was great on paper — "he’s good-looking, and their chemistry was great" — he was very nervous about marriage, "and that made Rachel question if he was really the one," the source added.
