SurpriseMeghan Markle Is Pregnant With Prince Harry’s Baby!
The world was captivated when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement, but the royal couple has even bigger news — they’re pregnant! Prince Harry and Meghan have been very open about wanting to start a family, and it looks likes it is happening sooner than either of them expected.
A source reveals to In Touch that the surprise pregnancy is the main reason the pair decided to fast-track their wedding for Spring 2018. “Meghan is pregnant,” a source says. “Harry and Meghan have been very open about how they are desperate to have kids as soon as possible. But they didn’t expect it to happen so soon!”
However, the insider clarified, “This baby was very much wanted. It’s a dream come true for them.”
In their first post-engagement interview, the couple was asked if they were talking kids already — and Prince Harry was visibly nervous. “No, of course, you know, I think one step at a time and hopefully we’ll start a family in the near future,” he responded.
Last year, Life & Style reported that Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, were hoping to start a family by the end of 2017. “They’ve discussed having babies together, and they both can’t wait,” a source said. “They’ve told pals they want to start trying after the first of the year.” Having a baby out of wedlock is definitely a no-no in royal protocol but Harry doesn’t care.
“Harry knows everyone would go ballistic if Meghan got pregnant before they married,” the source continued. “On the other hand, with Harry, you never know.” As for the Suits star, she is already preparing for her role as the future Duchess of Sussex and has officially retired from acting.
“I don’t see it as giving anything up, I just see it as a change,” she said. “It’s a new chapter, right? And also, keep in mind — I’ve been working on my show for seven years. So we were very, very fortunate to have that sort of longevity on a series, and for me, once we hit the 100 episode marker, I thought, ‘You know what? I have ticked this box and I feel really proud of the work I’ve done there and now it’s time to work as a team with [Harry].”
Royal spectators already had their fingers crossed that the couple was expecting, thanks to the flattering white coat she wore during the engaged couple’s debut at Kensington Gardens. “OMG agh I’m so happy Meghan and Harry are getting married!! I’m hoping they have kids ASAP!” one fan enthused, while another wrote, “Can Meghan please be pregnant? Bc tbh her and Harry’s babies would be the most gorgeous kids ever!”
Another tweeted, “OK how cute would it be if Meghan and Harry had a baby before their wedding? That way the baby could be in it!!” Congrats to the happy couple!
