What happened on My Big Fat Fabulous Life? Fans are worried AF after a teaser for next week’s episode of the hit reality TV series hinted at some really bad news —or in the worst-case scenario, a death — and viewers are wondering who died? Life & Style exclusively chatted with Whitney Thore and she revealed that someone or something may not have died, but fans are going to have to wait until next week to find out.

“Well, [it’s someone] that the viewers have become attached to and someone that they really like is not going to be a part of our lives anymore unexpectedly,” Whitney exclusively revealed to Life & Style. “It was devastating and just super unexpected and we’re all okay we’re all making it through.”

Fans took to social media to speculate who — or what — could have died, and it looks like many of them are convinced that it could be her mother Babara “Babs” Thore‘s pet potbelly pig. “I have a feeling the poor little pig got hurt or died. I hope I’m wrong. That’s so sad if that’s what happened,” one fan commented on Instagram. It would make sense that it could be the pet pig, since Babs seemed to be absolutely inconsolable after receiving the bad news.

But since Whitney didn’t exactly confirm a death, fans are thinking that Whitney’s longtime friend Buddy could be the one that will be saying goodbye. During this week’s episode, he hinted that moving back in with Whitney in Greensboro, NC might not be the best thing for his recovery after he completed a rehab program to treat his cocaine addiction.

“Buddy told me that he might not come back to Greensboro at all. I was definitely surprised and I was sad,” Whitney revealed in her TLC recap. “But the prevailing feeling is that whatever is best for Buddy is what I want.”
