So heartbreaking. Former Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller has been in the hospital for nearly three weeks after she was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma last month, and she has been sharing very real and raw photos from her hospital stay as a way to keep her fans updated with her cancer battle. On Saturday, May 5, Abby took to Instagram to share another pic of herself trying to get some rest in between her treatments.
"Practice what you preach! #saveyourtearsforthepillow," Abby wrote in the caption of the pic, which featured her laying on a pillow with a pillow case from her Abby Lee Dance Company's online store. The quote "Save those tears for the pillow" is something Abby has told her students often on the show, and the pillow case is sold for $35 on her site.
Fans flooded the comments, sending their well wishes to Abby. "My daughter and I watched your show from day one. We thought you were always fantastic. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during your difficult time," one fan wrote, and another commented, "I loved watching her show. She needs to stay strong and come back to do what she loves, teach dance."
But while Abby does have a passion for dance and she spent much of her life instilling that love for dance in her students, she did get a lot of negative backlash for her tough, no-nonsense teaching style. Nevertheless, Abby's students still adore her and many of them stopped by to visit her on Saturday, May 5 before they headed off to Instagram's first-annual Kindness Prom in order to celebrate the launch of the app's new anti-bullying feature. Erica Perri and her goddaughter Maddie Pietrusinski showed up to give Abby some love, and JoJo Siwa's older brother Jayden Siwa also stopped by to visit with Abby.
