When people hack their way into celebrities’ personal photos, it’s not long before the whole Internet is in on the leak.

Most recently, actresses Amanda Seyfried and Emma Watson have had their private pics shared with millions of people.

Though many stars work diligently to get the images removed from the web, it’s clear that when something is posted online, it pretty much sticks around forever.

Amanda Seyfried

In March 2017, Amanda Seyfried had personal photos stolen from her. The explicit images show the actress’ “intimate moments” with her ex-boyfriend, who some are claiming to be Justin Long. According to TMZ, Amanda and her team of lawyers threatened Celeb Jihad, the site that “wrongfully obtained [the photos] by a third party,” with legal action.

Emma Watson

In mid-March, private photos of the Harry Potter actress were leaked. The 26-year-old never spoke out about the photos, but her rep made a statement to dispel rumors that were spreading. “Photos from a clothes fitting Emma had with a stylist a couple of years ago have been stolen,” the rep said. “They are not nude photographs."

Lucy Hale

Back in December, the Pretty Little Liars star made headlines when topless images were leaked online. Though some stars remained quiet during their hackings, letting their lawyers and reps work things out, Lucy made public statements about the incident. "Well I wasn't going to comment on something so ridiculous, but since 2017 is gonna be all about speaking my truth… I'm going to say something. Once again, a woman in the public eye was violated, stolen from and her private life and body were exposed for anyone to see," she wrote on Twitter. "I will not apologize for living my life and having a personal life that is all mine…And to whoever did this… kiss my a–.”

Leslie Jones

The SNL star faced hard times back in August when everything from her passport to her driver’s license to intimate nude photos were obtained by a hacker and then leaked on her website. To make matters worse, the hackers put up a video of a gorilla on her website which led to an onslaught of racist comments on Twitter and other social media platforms. Leslie made an emotional statement on her account following the attack. “I leave Twitter tonight with tears and a very sad heart,” she wrote. “All this cause I did a movie. You can hate the movie but the s–t I got today … wrong.”

Kaley Cuoco

The Big Bang Theory actress, along with Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton, had nude photos leaked in 2014. After denying that the photos were of her, Kaley did end up coming clean in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel. In the interview, she revealed that she poked fun at the hackers on her own Instagram by posting a photo of herself in a bikini and using the app Nudity to make it look like a naked snap. “It was just a really bad situation but I took it in my own hands and make a joke about it because what are you going to do?” she asked. “You’ve got to make fun of yourself.”

Kate Upton

The Sports Illustrated model was one of many victims in the 2014 celebrity hacking. Though the blonde beauty never spoke out, her attorney made a statement on her behalf: "We intend to pursue anyone disseminating or duplicating these illegally obtained images to the fullest extent possible."

Rihanna

In 2014, the “Work” songstress reportedly had nude photos of herself leaked on 4chan and Reddit. Though they were eventually taken down, millions saw the snaps. The pics appeared to be taken from some sort of fitting or outfit change on a photo shoot or music video set.

Jennifer Lawrence

In 2014, the Oscar-winning actress was a victim of the famous iCloud hacking that affected dozens of celebrities. Over 60 explicit images, as well as a video, were leaked via 4chan. The Silver Linings Playbook actress has yet to speak out about the incident, though a rep confirmed that the photos were of her. “This is a flagrant violation of privacy,” the rep said. “The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”

Vanessa Hudgens

Back in 2007, when the Disney Channel star’s career was just beginning, numerous nude photos of the then 18-year-old were leaked online. In an interview with Paper Magazine, the High School Musical star talked about what it was like to go through such an invasion of privacy. "That was just a really sh—y situation that sucked," she said. "That was by far the worst moment of my career."

Back in 2012, Mila was involved in a nude photo leak with an ex. Four pictures were released, one of which was an explicit image with a man, though his face couldn't be seen. Justice was served when the hacker was sentenced to 10 years in prison!
