Educating herself! Comedian Amy Schumer shouted out fans and followers for giving her advice and tips regarding In Virto Fertilization, commonly known as IVF, on her Instagram on January 11. The first-time mama recently revealed she and husband Chris Fischer are pursuing fertility treatment in order to give their infant son, Gene, a sibling in the future.

“Thank you, ladies and a few [gentlemen]. We are gonna freeze embryos hopefully. I learned to eat salty food after and drink Gatorade,” the 38-year-old captioned a funny photo of herself in sunglasses getting an ultrasound. “Ice the area. Take arnica and put arnica on the bruises. To be patient and kind to myself and that there are sooooo many of us willing to be there for each other.”

Needless to say, the support was super helpful to the funny gal. “Your stories helped me more than you can imagine,” she concluded her caption. “I feel incredibly lucky. I’m really hoping this works and staying positive. Much much love!” She even included a muscle emoji to hammer home her point.

On January 9, the comedian shared a photo of her bruised belly while revealing her next steps to fertility. “I’m a week into IVF and feeling really run down and emotional,” Amy captioned the pic, showing the results of the procedure. “If anyone went through it and if you have any advice or wouldn’t mind sharing your experience with me, please do. My number is in my bio.”

She continued to explain exactly what the couple’s plans are moving forward. “We are freezing my eggs and figuring out what to do to give Gene a sibling,” she concluded her caption, adding a red heart emoji.

Naturally, several of Amy’s celeb friends flocked to the comments section to share love with the starlet, including singer Selena Gomez. “I’m praying for you and Chris! I’m sorry!” the 27-year-old wrote, before later adding, “Let me clear that up. I said I’m sorry that she’s feeling that way. My mom went through the same thing. It’s hard on women’s [hearts].”

As usual, we love to see Amy in great spirits. You got this, mama!
