“Anna wants to speed up her divorce from Chris so Michael can propose,” an insider reveals exclusively to Life & Style. “He’s told Anna he wants to marry her, but he’ll only propose once the divorce is finalized.” That’s totally understandable, but Anna definitely wants to get the ball rolling… without being too pushy.

“She has to be careful,” notes the insider. “The last thing she wants is to upset Chris, who could drag his feet in the divorce proceedings.” But Anna is keeping her eyes on the prize. “Anna’s plan,” adds the insider, “is to get married to Michael in 2018.” Luckily at this point, their split has been nothing but respectful and amicable, so the road seems pretty smooth ahead.

“They’re both wonderful people, and they love and respect one another,” Anna’s father, Jack Faris, told Life & Style. “They’re going to be fine, but obviously it’s a time of
transition.” As long as everyone can be cool, it seems like Anna and Chris’ son Jack will have a new step-dad within the next year! Marriage aside, the couple has already been spotted house-hunting together, so it’s clear that Michael will be a part of Anna’s life for years to come.
