We’re going to try really hard not to be judgemental, y’all. Here goes nothing: Kourtney Kardashian, girl, what are you thinking? OK, that didn’t go too well.

On Sep. 3, Kourt and her ex-boyfriend, Younes Bendjima, were spotted in Malibu enjoying a casual sushi date… which, let’s face it, means they’re back together, right? Hmm, not necessarily — so let’s investigate!

For starters, here’s how thing went down: According to E! News, “[Kourtney] talked to [Younes] and listened to what he had to say. He said he really didn’t want the relationship to end and missed her like crazy. He explained that a lot of what happened was a misunderstanding and he took responsibility,” a source revealed to the outlet. “They ended up going to dinner.”

Alright, fair enough. Everyone deserves a chance to clear their name, right? Question is, how did Kourt react to Younes’ plea? “Kourtney isn’t back together with him, but it’s a strong possibility that it’s going to happen. She’s not interested in anyone else and she loves him,” the source continued. Sigh.

To be fair, it’s only been 29 days since the pair called it quits, so they’re definitely still in that weird “should we make up or move on forever?” period. However, Kourt did seem pretty adamant about moving on, as did her family. When news broke that Younes got handsy with fellow model Jordan Ozuna in Mexico, both Khloé Kardashian and Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to slam him… hard! Younes made a weak attempt to defend the situation, but it looked like the damage had been done.

Additionally, sources suggested at the time that Kourt was never all that serious about Younes anyway! In fact, she may have just been using the 25-year-old to get over her baby daddy, Scott Disick. “Younes was always supposed to be a rebound,” a source close to the KUWTK star revealed to People shortly after their split. “Kourtney doesn’t play games. She seems okay with [the breakup],” the source added.

Even still, it’s important to look at the mother-of-three’s dating record before calling this an open and shut case. Seeing as Kourtney and Scott have broken up and gotten back together about 100 times now, it leads us to believe that she’s not too great at letting go of toxic men. Ahem, Kourt hasn’t even cleansed her Instagram of Younes yet.

No shade or anything, but if she was willing to take back Scott after his countless infidelities, what makes Younes any different? Basically, we’re just hoping that their sushi date was some BS experiment in closure and that Kourt has finally figured out her worth.

You deserve the very best, KK! Oh, and in case you and Younes really have called it quits for good, it looks like Travis Barker is interested. Wink, wink.
