Are Love Is Blind Stars Dave and Lauren Still Together?

Dave had a hard time choosing between Lauren and fellow cast member Molly Mullaney during his time in the pods, but he ultimately proposed to Lauren. This season was filmed in March 2024 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Fans watched the couple decide to split during episode 11, which aired on February 28, 2025. After Dave couldn’t come to terms with Lauren’s past situationship that took place right before they met in the pods, they broke up before they made it to the altar.

Dave said that while it was “very hard to walk away” from his relationship with Lauren, though he knew in his heart that it was “the right decision.”

“I’m sad, I’m mad, I’m frustrated. We have such a great connection. I feel like I let her down in a way, because I couldn’t get over my own ego, my own pride that she could’ve seen some other guy before me, which is very normal,” he continued. “I’m mad at myself for that, but I love her and I probably always will. But at the end of the day, this felt like the right decision. Love is blind, but I don’t think marriage is.”

However, Lauren said that her past situationship “wouldn’t matter if he was in love with me enough to want to marry me.”

“You wanna marry me but you’re not going to let me explain to your sister and your friends a hookup that I had? When he went to go see his sister like a week ago, I wrote her a letter to explain who I am and the whole situation and how crazy it is but how much I want to be with Dave and how much I love him and how much I care about her support, and he just didn’t give it to her,” she explained. “I’ve never been this pissed at someone but also sad for them and with them at the same time. I’m really sad this didn’t work out. I’m so incredibly sad about it. I’m also pissed that he let it get here. I’ve not been heartbroken like this.”

What Happened With Love Is Blind’s Dave and Lauren in the Pods?

Lauren struggled a bit while in the pods. Dave had developed connections with both her and Molly, and Molly seemed sure that she and Dave would end up together. When she spoke about her time with Dave, Molly was unaware that Lauren was Dave’s other choice, which sent Lauren spiraling. However, things changed when Lauren confronted the medical device salesman about his relationship with Molly.

“I feel so confidently about you and about this, but I spent the last day being like, ‘The way he talks to me is either he’s really good at talking a big game here to two different people, or she’s interpreting things differently,’” Lauren said during episode 5.

Dave admitted that his feelings for Molly were “confusing” for him because they were so “similar,” but said that they hadn’t had “super deep conversations.” However, he explained that “not knowing” if Lauren was still “seeing other guys” was something that had “held him back” from pursuing a relationship with Lauren more aggressively.

During a following date with Molly, she asked Dave if he thought he had more of an “emotional connection” with Lauren, and he confessed that he did. His answer solidified his decision to choose Lauren and he and Molly ended things.

Love Is Blind’s Dave and Lauren Seemingly Have a Rough Road Ahead

While the midseason trailer showed Dave and Lauren enjoying their time oceanside after the pods, their return to the real world doesn’t seem so smooth. One of Dave’s biggest worries about getting engaged during Love Is Blind was that his sister didn’t approve. Lauren was anxious to meet her but one scene showed the educational saleswoman in tears about the situation.

“Where are you at with your sister?” Lauren asked Dave through tears. “I’m, like, so helpless in this.”

During Love Is Blind episode 7, Dave discovered he had mutual friends with someone Lauren was casually seeing shortly before she arrived to film the show. The news unsettled him and made him question whether or not she was ready for marriage.

Things escalated when Dave claimed his friends believed that Lauren was “hooking up” with the unnamed man “right before” she went on the show. Even though she denied it, he wasn’t convinced. It was then revealed that Dave had been sleeping somewhere else as opposed to their shared apartment.

In another clip, Dave was heard saying, “You guys clearly were, like, seeing each other,” as the camera panned to Lauren laughing before she said, “I’m not trying to hide anything. Like, I’m so honest with you.”

However, it looks like their relationship might become even more tense when the cast reunited for a gathering and Dave had a conversation with Molly.

“We are each other’s person,” Molly told Dave. “You are allowed to change your mind completely.”

Dave responded, “I f–ked up,” which does not bode well for Lauren.

Viewers can catch the next batch of Love Is Blind episodes when they drop on Netflix on February 28, 2025.
