Taylor Swift’s Photo at Gigi Hadid’s Birthday Party Proves Her Squad Is Very Much Alive
Reunited and it feels so good! Taylor Swift attended Gigi Hadid‘s birthday party on Monday, April 22 in New York City and fans were so excited to see the old friends back together again. The longtime pals looked like they had a blast celebrating at the denim-themed event. The singer posted the cutest photo with actress Hailee Steinfeld that gave social media followers a glimpse of the bash.
“I love you so much, Gigi,” the 29-year-old captioned the black-and-white photo of the ladies on her Instagram Story. The group seemed to be all smiles while hugging in a photo booth.
The model rang in her 24th birthday in style and surrounded by her inner circle. Bella Hadid, Olivia Culpo, Ashley Graham and Yolanda Foster were just a few of the other attendees. Noticeably, her on-again, off-again boyfriend Zayn Malik wasn’t spotted by cameras. Since Taylor completely disappeared out of the limelight (Read: The old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now), fans have wondered if her infamous girl squad completely disbanded. Clearly, the ladies are still as close as ever.
The “Delicate” songstress opened up about her very public friend group and why some of the relationships dissolved during an interview with Elle in March. “Something about ‘we’re in our young twenties!’ hurls people together into groups that can feel like your chosen family,” she explained. “And maybe they will be for the rest of your life. Or maybe they’ll just be your comrades for an important phase, but not forever.”
The artist added, “It’s sad but sometimes when you grow, you outgrow relationships. You may leave behind friendships along the way, but you’ll always keep the memories.” Through Taylor’s crazy ups and downs the past few years, she ended up finding her ride or die pals. “I learned that I have friends and fans in my life who don’t care if I’m #canceled. They were there in the worst times and they’re here now,” she gushed.
