We’re a sucker for the Jonas Brothers, and luckily, they showed up to the 2019 VMAs. *Squeals.* The chart-topping group looked suave as ever while making an appearance at the star-studded event on Monday, August 26.

Fans didn’t know what to expect because the trio pre-recorded a performance at the Stone Pony in their home state of New Jersey on Sunday, August 25. According to Page Six, 8,000 people were in attendance at the concert in Asbury Park, where they sang “several” songs. At the end, Joe shouted, “See you on TV tomorrow!” and they all watched fireworks.

Asbury Park Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn told the Asbury Park Press that the event went off without a hitch. “Kudos to our police and fire departments for keeping everything running smoothly,” she said, before adding, “We’ve come a long way. Now we’re a town that’s being showcased on a national level.”

Meanwhile, onlooker Sarah Higgins, who was inside the Pony, told the outlet, “It’s going to be really cool to see how it all comes together.”

Joe Jonas, in particular, certainly has a lot to celebrate these days. Not only did he jet off to the Maldives for his honeymoon with wife Sophie Turner last month, but he also celebrated his 30th birthday on August 16 in NYC. The lovebirds said “I do” for the second time on June 29 in the South of France. What a life, huh?

The bros — who are natives of Wyckoff, New Jersey — announced they were reuniting earlier this year after a lengthy hiatus. In March, they released their first single in more than six years, “Sucker,” which has already risen to the top of the charts. (And has been stuck in our heads all summer).

The next stop on their “Happiness” tour is set for Tuesday, August 27, at the Keybank Center in Buffalo, New York, which could also explain their absence. *Googles if you can still get tickets.*
