Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas Share Dreamy Photos From Their Maldives Honeymoon: ‘I Found Happiness’
Everyone knows that the best part of getting married is the honeymoon, right? Well, that and everlasting love, of course! Over the weekend, newlyweds Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas took to Instagram to share the most stunning photos from their dreamy Maldives getaway.
“I found happiness,” the “Sucker” singer, 29, captioned his post on Sunday, July 14. “Paradise. Such a magical place,” Sophie, 23, captioned hers. Unsurprisingly, fans of the adorable pair flocked to social media to share their love and congratulations … and er, a bit of their jealousy, too.
“OMG. This isn’t fair. Y’all are too perfect together,” one user commented. “One of the most beautiful places (and couples) I have ever seen,” added another. “Happy Honeymoon, Sophie and Joe! Enjoy it … if you know what I mean” wrote a third with several winking emojis.
Considering Sophie and Joe had not one, but two amazing wedding receptions, we have no doubt that they’ve been making the most of their honeymoon. After all, it’s clear these two love nothing more than celebrating each other.
The lovebirds said “I do” for the second time on June 29, in the South of France. Sophie and Joe were surrounded by friends and family — including fellow newlyweds Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra.
As gorgeous as their reception was, we slightly preferred their first impromptu wedding in Las Vegas on May 1. Sophie wore a Ring Pop as an engagement ring, while she and Joe pledged their love in front of an Elvis Presley impersonator.
“I, Joseph, take you, Sophie, to be my wedded wife. With this ring, I thee wed. And I love you,” Joe repeated after Elvis. Then the groom kissed the bride’s hands before it was Sophie’s turn to take Joe as her “wedded husband.”
Together, they said, “I promise you I will never leave you. I will love and trust you all the days of my life in sickness and in health, in plenty and in want, forever and ever.”
*Pauses to wipe tears.* Ummm, would it be too much to ask if Sophie and Joe can have a third wedding? Please and thank you.
