‘I Do’ Part 2! Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas Host a Beautiful Wedding Reception in the South of France
Here comes the bride … again! Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas celebrated their second wedding in the South of France on June 29, according to Us Weekly. The former Game of Thrones powerhouse, 23, looked stunning in a Louis Vuitton gown with her newly minted hubby, 29. The pair was surrounded by their closest friends, as well as family members including Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra.
Considering Sophie and Joe’s first walk down the aisle was so, er, informal — Sophie opted for a Ring Pop instead of diamond — we’re surprised to see just how elegant their second nuptials were. ICYMI: The darling duo said “I do” for the first time during an impromptu ceremony held in Las Vegas following the Billboard Music Awards on May 1.
Perhaps the best part of the whole affair was Diplo’s Instagram Live. During the video, Sophie and Joe stood in front of an Elvis Presley impersonator (duh, it’s Vegas) to exchange their vows. “I, Joseph, take you, Sophie, to be my wedded wife. With this ring, I thee wed. And I love you,” Joe repeated after Elvis. Then the groom kissed the bride’s hands before it was Sophie’s turn to take Joe as her “wedded husband.”
Together, they said, “I promise you I will never leave you. I will love and trust you all the days of my life in sickness and in health, in plenty and in want, forever and ever.” No wonder why they decided to get married again! After all, there’s nothing more beautiful than affirming your everlasting love for someone.
Now that wedding No. 1 and No. 2 are officially behind them, we hope that Honeymoon No. 1 and Honeymoon No. 2 are up next! Congratulations again, Sophie and Joe.
