Sansa, Is That You? Sophie Turner Admitted That Joe Jonas Almost Smooched Her ‘GoT’ Stunt Double
Uh, whoops! Sophie Turner revealed that her Game of Thrones stunt double looked so much like her that Joe Jonas confused the two and accidentally leaned in to kiss her once. It sounds like Jonas Brother was definitely seeing ~double.~
During an interview with Nova’s Smallzy’s Surgery on Thursday, June 6, the 23-year-old recalled the funny incident. “On Game of Thrones actually, I had a photo double that people would do double takes at because she looked so much like me. It was insane,” she explained. “Even Joe went up to her at one point and tried to give her a kiss and he was like ‘Oh, Sorry! Sorry, it’s not Sophie, wrong one!'”
The actress’ name who plays Sophie’s stand-in is Megan Parkinson. According to Megan’s Instagram profile, she worked on the HBO show during seasons 7 and 8. She also brought her talents to the British drama Ackley Bridge for seasons 2 and 3. Not every project Sophie works on has a double that’s so strikingly similar. Specifically, the actress joked that her X-Men: Dark Phoenix stunt double was a straight up athlete. “They don’t really look like me. First of all, they are much fitter, have much more muscle and just better looking aesthetically in general,” she recalled.
Game of Thrones may have ended *pours out drink,* but Sophie relived one prank she and her BFF Maisie Williams pulled on set. “We fully knew [that people thought we were together]. We played into it. We did,” she explained about their close relationship. “So on the set, we would kind of do the scene then try and kiss each other in the middle of the scene and see if anyone would react.”
The British beauty added, “It’s Game of Thrones, so incest is so normal that they were like, ‘All right, that’s fine.’ … It was probably the most tame thing that happened on the show, actually.”
