Amicable Exes! Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult Laugh It Up at the ‘Dark Phoenix’ Premiere
OK, no tea, no shade, but seeing Jennifer Lawrence and her ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult have *a moment* at the Dark Phoenix premiere is making us forget all about the actress’ soon-be-hubby, Cooke Maroney. What?! We can’t help it. They just looked so darling laughing together on the red carpet. To be fair, this isn’t the first time that J. Law, 28, and her former British flame, 29, have been spotted together following their split.
In fact, Jennifer and Nicholas began dating in 2010 after meeting on the set of X-Men: First Class. They had a whirlwind romance for three years, before going their separate ways in 2013. At the time, it seemed their connection was just too strong, because they got back together for another year before ending things once and for all in August 2014.
Even so, things have remained friendly between them ever since. Ahem, just look at these photos.
Now, as much as we love taking a stroll down memory lane, there’s no denying that Jennifer and her art gallerist fiancé are a match made in heaven. Sorry, Nicholas! “Jen and Cooke are the perfect couple,” an insider told Life & Style exclusively about the duo. “[Jen] says that she knew pretty quickly that he was the one. His family adores her and vice versa.”
Seeing as J. Law and Cooke recently celebrated their engagement with loved ones in NYC, we suspect it’s only a matter of months — maybe even weeks — before the pair says “I do.” How exciting!
Question is, will Nicholas be invited to the wedding? Hmmm, that’d be interesting. Maybe Darren Aronofsky can come too, then? Just kidding, we imagine it’s best to keep weddings an ex-free zone.
