Swoon! Jennifer Lawrence Knew ‘Pretty Quickly’ That Fiancé Cooke Maroney Was ‘The One’
Less than a month after Jennifer Lawrence and her art gallery director beau, Cooke Maroney, were said to be getting pretty serious, the couple got engaged on February 5. TBH, our heads are still spinning over it! The 28-year-old actress has dated many an eligible Hollywood man over the course of her time in the public eye, so what makes the 33-year-old art dealer the one for her?
“Jen and Cooke are the perfect couple,” an insider told Life & Style exclusively about the duo. “[Jen] says that she knew pretty quickly that he was the one. His family adores her and vice versa.”
Family is huge when it comes to relationships. Of course, you really want your fam to vibe with your significant other, but you also want to vibe with their fam too! It’s a symbiotic relationship. We’re just glad J. Law was able to find someone who could truly be part of her tribe.
Jen and Cooke got engaged on Tuesday after eight months of dating. The couple was first linked romantically back in June 2018 and were reportedly introduced by one of Jennifer’s friends, Laura Simpson. The Oscar-winner previously dated director Darren Aronofsky until November 2017. Before that, Jen dated actor Nicholas Hoult for five years. There must be something about Cooke, huh?
The couple was spotted celebrating their engagement at a lovely dinner in NYC where Jen got to show off her huge engagement ring just as the news was breaking to the world. The duo had a secluded meal at Raoul’s bistro, enjoying themselves before they retreated back to their Upper East Side apartment. Lucky for us, the duo ran off inside before her incredible rock blinded us all.
Though they’ve already been together eight months, it’s a whole new world for Jen and Cooke as they embark on their newlywed life. We can’t wait to see where it takes them next!
