All hell broke loose on Oct. 14 when reports surfaced claiming Ariana Grande and her fiance Pete Davidson had called it quits after five months together. One day later, the 25-year-old pop princess broke her silence on social media… and judging by what she had to say, you might think nothing was out of the ordinary.

Ari ignored the reports entirely, and instead promoted her appearance on the upcoming Wicked special, A Very Wicked Halloween: Celebrating 15 Years On Broadway. “Honored to be included in this celebration of 15 years of my favorite musical of all time 💚,” Ari wrote, also revealing that she’ll be performing the song “The Wizard And I” from the Broadway hit show. “Wouldn’t miss it for the whole universe #wicked15.”

As of now, Ari hasn’t given any other indication of where her relationship stands with Pete. She hasn’t deleted the photos of him, or them together, on her Instagram, and she hasn’t responded to the thousands of fans demanding answers on Twitter. Pete, on the other hand, seemingly deleted his Instagram account in it’s entirety.

Regardless of the underlying drama, fans are utterly stoked to see Ariana perform a song from Wicked. The event will air on NBC on Oct. 29, and it’s going to be hosted by the OG witches themselves, Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth. Other performers so far will include acapella powerhouses Pentatonix, and we’re sure there will be some amazing surprises to come as well.

News first broke that Ari and Pete had allegedly broken up on Oct. 14. Reportedly, both stars felt things were moving too fast, especially in light of the death of Ari’s longtime boyfriend Mac Miller. “Ariana needs to take a minute away from the spotlight and just be alone to figure out who she is,” a source close Ari told Radar Online. “She is giving him the ring back and has no plans of getting back together with him.”
