Over-the-Top Celebrity Kids’ Birthday Parties That Will Give You *Serious* FOMO

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it’s been a long time since we’ve been able to obsess over an extravagant celebrity kids’ birthday party. While some famous families decided to keep celebrating with socially distanced and COVID-19-compliant gatherings, it’s simply not the same!

Take the Kardashian-Jenners, for example. In years past, the KUWTK stars treated their children’s birthdays like the Met Gala. In fact, while planning North West and Penelope Disick‘s joint birthday bash in 2019, Kim Kardashian and sister Kourtney Kardashian got into one of the biggest fights in Keeping Up With the Kardashians‘ history.

The KKW Beauty mogul and the Poosh.com founder decided on a Candy Land theme. However, the A-list sisters disagreed greatly on what kind of snacks to serve their guests. “So, have you thought of any ideas for the party?” Kim asked Kourtney during a car ride. “Somewhat healthy,” the mother of three, who shares kids Mason, Penelope and Reign with ex Scott Disick, clapped back immediately. “It’s Candy Land, Kourtney!” Kim replied.

“It’s not going to be healthy no matter what, sugar is not healthy. But let’s not do the nasty stuff with, like, food coloring and gross s–t,” Kourtney argued. In a private confessional, Kim, who shares children North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm with husband Kanye West, suggested Kourtney didn’t care about what the girls wanted.

“Kourtney has this vision of no sugar or no disgusting chemicals in candy and it’s like a completely sugar-free, gluten-free, party-free, fun-free zone because Kourtney has decided that,” the Skims founder expressed. “It just doesn’t make sense and it really wasn’t the theme of what North and Penelope wanted for their birthday.”

Kourtney went on to suggest that serving sugary snacks is a “dated vibe” and that they should feel “guilty” about it. Of course, by the time North and Penelope’s special day came around, the party was absolute perfection — candy, cake, donuts and all!
