So Heartless? Beyoncé and JAY-Z Won’t Accept Former Pal Kanye West’s Apology (EXCLUSIVE)
After accusing JAY-Z of wanting to have him killed, and claiming JAY’s Tidal streaming service owes him $3 million, Kanye West has some apologizing to do. He’s reached out to former BFF JAY and wife Beyoncé, a music insider exclusively tells Life & Style.
Though he’s been hoping to make amends, Bey and JAY just aren’t having it. “Kanye keeps trying to get in touch, but they ignore him,” says an insider. “As soon as they see his name appear on the screen, they have their assistant answer. They refuse to talk to him.”
As Life & Style previously reported, Kanye and JAY — who were best friends at one time — have been at odds for a while now. According to an insider, Kanye, 40, was planning to sue JAY, 47, over their money dispute. Yeezy pulled out of his contract with the “99 Problems” rapper’s music streaming service, Tidal, in July, claiming they owed him a $3 million bonus for bringing in 1.5 million new subscribers with his 2016 album, The Life of Pablo.

“Kanye believes he’s owed by Tidal and he will fight for it,” said the source, adding that Kanye wanted to drag JAY to court because he doesn’t believe their relationship will ever be the same. “There’s no salvaging the friendship, so Kanye’s going full force. He could reveal secrets about JAY that may not be pretty.”
Back in August, JAY opened up about his feud with Kanye during an interview with Rap Radar, telling the podcast that he was disappointed when the “Stronger” MC accused his wife, Beyoncé, of refusing to perform at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards unless her “Formation” music video beat out his own “Famous” video and Drake‘s “Hotline Bling” for Video of the Year.
“What really hurt me, you can’t bring my kid or my wife into it. Like, Kanye is my little brother. He’s talked about me a hundred times. He even made a song called ‘Big Brother.’ We’ve gotten past bigger issues, but you brought my family into it, now it’s a problem,” said JAY. “You know it’s a problem because me and him would have been talked about it, been resolved our issues. And he knows crossed the line. He knows. And I know he knows. ‘Cause we’ve never let this much space go between one of our disagreements and we’ve had many. That’s part of who we are.”
