It looks like there’s no saving this friendship. It’s been eight months since Kanye West called out his friend JAY-Z in a very public rant on the last night of his Saint Pablo tour and JAY is finally breaking his silence on their feud. The “Empire State of Mind” rapper addressed the situation on the Rap Radar podcast hosted by his own subscription-based music streaming service Tidal.

“You got hurt because this guy was talking about you on a stage,” the 47-year-old said on the podcast. “But what really hurt me, you can’t bring my kid or my wife into it. Like, Kanye is my little brother. He’s talked about me a hundred times. He even made a song called ‘Big Brother.’ We’ve gotten past bigger issues, but you brought my family into it, now it’s a problem.”

During his rant last November, Kanye begged JAY to call him after he accused his wife Beyoncé of refusing to perform at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards unless her “Formation” music video beat out Kanye’s “Famous” and Drake’s “Hotline Bling” for Video of the Year — hinting that she only won because of the ultimatum. For JAY, Kanye took things too far by bringing up Bey.

“You know it’s a problem because me and him would have been talked about it, been resolved our issues,” JAY continued. “And he knows crossed the line. He knows. And I know he knows. ‘Cause we’ve never let this much space go between one of our disagreements and we’ve had many. That’s part of who we are.”

But that’s not the extent of the rift between the former pals. Sources exclusively revealed to Life & Style that now that his friendship with JAY is beyond repair, he’s preparing to face off with him in court because he claims that Tidal owes him a $3 million bonus for bringing in 1.5 million new subscribers with his 2016 album, The Life of Pablo.

“Kanye believes he’s owed by Tidal and he will fight for it,” says the source, adding that Kanye is willing to drag JAY-Z to court because he doesn’t believe their relationship will ever be the same. “There’s no salvaging the friendship, so Kanye’s going full force. He could reveal secrets about JAY-Z that may not be pretty.”
