Anyone else craving pie today? If you haven’t gotten your slice of apple or pumpkin or key lime just yet, then it’s time to celebrate Pi Day in a different way — by remembering some of pop culture’s most iconic pie moments. Today, we’re honoring golden brown crusts and all the gooey goodness that goes inside of them, whether it’s fruit filling, whipped cream, or something a little more savory. Check out the gallery below to see all the pop culture moments that take the cake — or, in this case, pie.

Celeb cameos go great with a slice of pie.
When Brad Pitt showed up on an episode of Friends, it was seriously iconic. But what was even more memorable was the dessert than he brought with him for Thanksgiving dinner — a “no fat, no sugar, no dairy” monstrosity that he also immediately admitted was “no good.” Personally, we don’t think there’s any such thing as a pie that’s no good, but given a choice, we’d probably go with a one that’s a little more classic, too.

Jenna’s pies are more like it.
In Waitress, Keri Russell‘s character is something of a pie savant. A pie genius. A pie prodigy, probably. While working at the diner, she comes up with creative creations like cinnamon spice custard, marshmallow mermaid pie, and a breakfast pie that’s stuffed with egg, brie, and smoked ham. She also gives them names like “I Hate My Husband Pie” and “Old Joe’s Horny Pie” — what more could you want? The whole movie is a must watch for the holiday.

Pigeon pie? We’d give it a try.
Though maybe not this particular one. At Margaery and Joffrey’s wedding on Game of Thrones, no one actually got around to eating the savory feast that was all baked into one big dish. And there’s nothing that can silence a family fight quite like pie, is there? It’s the only thing that distracted Joffrey from his fight with Tyrion — although it’s not quite what silenced him forever.

HBO
We’ll pass on Frey pie, though, thanks.
We’re still super pumped that Arya was able to pull this move off — and presumably put some of the baking skills she learned from Hot Pie to the test — but when we think about this dish, we can more queasy than anything else. We’ll leave this one all to Walder Frey.

Warner Bros.
Speaking of questionable meat pies …
Frankly, Mrs. Lovett herself says her pastry creations are the “worst pies in London” even before she really knew Sweeney Todd, and we don’t the change in ingredients helped. Though they’ve earned their spot on this list, we think we’ll keep an eye out for a pie that’s ~bloody good~ in a different way.

Universal Pictures
Then there’s *this* moment.
Arguably the most famous of them all, the American Pie scene also doesn’t exactly whet our appetites. Don’t get us wrong, we can definitely see the appeal of a warm appeal pie. It’s just that we’d rather have the pie in us than the other way around.

Netflix
Pi Day? Why not Pie Week?
There’s nothing better than binging a whole season of The Great British Baking Show, and the pie week episodes are some of our favorites. Just watching all the scrumptious recipes they come up with makes us drool and fantasize about becoming world-class bakers ourselves.

I don’t want to be a pie — but I do want to eat one!
In Chicken Run, the whole plot of the movie focuses on the chickens trying to make sure that there are fewer pies in the world, not more, but we won’t hold it against them. After all, we’re just as happy to swap out our chicken pot pie for a nice egg custard pie. That should keep them back in their regular business, right?

ABC
BRB, heading out to the Pie Hole.
The primary setting in Pushing Daisies is basically a dream come true. Not only is the restaurant itself shaped like a pie, but they seem to serve every delicious flavor imaginable, all with a little extra love baked inside (or antidepressants for Chuck’s aunts). The pear and gruyere pie already has our mouths watering.

Lionsgate
We’re so hungry, we could eat a whole pie …
And that’s just what Rooney Mara‘s character did in A Ghost Story, though it was less about hunger and more about grief. But as much as people were talking about the scene itself, they were even more focused on the fact that Rooney had never actually eaten pie before the movie — which, we’re sorry, but what? It just doesn’t quite compute. As it turns out, though, the prop pie they used in the movie was just the kind of sugar-free, vegan dish that Brad Pitt’s brought to the table in Friends. Guess there really is a pie for everyone.

20th Century Fox
This is what our ideal fridge looks like.
In Shape of Water, Elisa and Giles are frequently seen bonding over bites of bright green pies. It may not be the most memorable part of the movie — we’d say the sea monster sex scene gets those honors — but it serves and important role in bringing characters together. And we gotta say, that electric color definitely intrigues us.

We’ll stick to Minnie’s other recipes.
Minnie’s chocolate-custard pies are pretty much famous in The Help, but when it comes time to get revenge on her boss, she makes a slight, uh, substitution for one of the ingredients. The scene stuck with us — but we still wouldn’t let it stop us from eating any of Minnie’s pies. We’d just make sure to stay on her good side instead.

Columbia Pictures
We’re here for this blueberry bonanza.
Not so much the part that comes after the eating contest in Stand By Me, though. But right before that where there’s a veritable feast of blueberry pies on display and greedily being devoured, yeah, that’s right up our alley. It may have been revenge fantasy fiction, but the first part is just straight fantasy to us.

ABC
Who’s up for a road trip?
Anybody else ready to risk it all in the town of Twin Peaks purely to try the cherry pie at the Double R Diner? The Twin Peaks characters were frequently seen chowing down on the treat, and though you can definitely find the recipe and make your own at home, it just doesn’t feel quite as spooky sweet as we imagine the real deal would be.

Paramount Pictures
Ready? Aim. Pie-re!
The T-Birds didn’t exactly have the best aim when it came to trying to get revenge on Coach Calhoun in Grease, but it turned out that Eugene had quite the arm on him. He may not have been a high school hunk just yet, but we love a stud who appreciates the power of a good pie.

AMC
And an honorable mention for Walt’s pizza pie.
It just breaks our hearts to think of that poor, wasted pizza pie slowly rotting away on Walt’s roof in Breaking Bad. Pour one out for the pie, everyone. RIP.
