‘BiP’ Couple Carly Waddell and Evan Bass Reveal Plans for Baby No. 2: ‘We’re Trying!’

Exciting Things on the Horizon

“Actually, Evan and I decided that we’re definitely … We’re trying,” Carly divulged while promoting her lullaby album Dream Train, which she created for her daughter.

Mommy BFFs

Carly hosts a podcast with fellow reality alum Jade Roper called Babes and Babies. It looks like season 2 may include a lot of pregnancy talk. “I always tell Jade, ‘You’re going first and I’ll go second!'” she joked.

Making Friends for Life

Jade and her husband, Tanner Tolbert, recently announced they are expecting a boy in August. Could this be foresight for Carly and Evan?

Can’t Wait

“So we are trying. We definitely want to get pregnant this year,” the singer confirmed. We’re officially on bump watch!

Boy or Girl?

“No! You know what, it doesn’t,” Carly explained when asked if she cared about the potential second baby’s gender. “I think, yeah, either way, we would just be so happy that it’s a happy, healthy baby.”

It Would Be Different

However, that’s not to say she’s not curious about how a son would be different than raising baby Bella. “I think it would be really interesting to know if it was a boy to know the difference, like how to raise a boy differently,” she confessed.

They Have Some Experience

Evan has three sons from a previous relationship — Liam, Ensley, and Nathan — so Carly isn’t a total stranger to that lifestyle. “I know how to raise older boys now but not babies. Like it can pee on you! You know girls don’t do that!” the starlet joked.

Adorable No Matter What

“But, it would also be so cute to have two little girls in matching dresses,” she admitted. It sounds like the parents will genuinely be thrilled either way.

One Happy Family

Carly gushed that Bella “totally” brought their family closer together. “I think she bonded our family completely because like I said, she loves her brothers and there’s a closeness that happened there, and there’s a closeness that happened with me and Evan,” the Texas native recognized.

An Unbreakable Bond

“She shares our DNA,” the newly minted mom said. “She’s almost kind of glued us together in a way that we wanted to be before but yeah she’s just like a little miracle.”

Loving Life as Parents

It seems like Carly is fulfilling her biggest dream of being a mom. “There is so greater joy for me than raising this little girl,” she captioned an Instagram photo on International Women’s Day.

Raising One Strong Girl

Her post continued, “She’s already kissing, singing, and full of love and life. Shout out to all of us brave, strong, powerful, courageous, driven women out there! Let us be role models and show the new generation how it’s done.”

A Lot of Love From Dad

Evan absolutely adores Bella as well. “Never thought I’d have a girl, TBH, but her spirit and life have brought our family so much happiness,” he wrote on Instagram to celebrate her first birthday on February 15.

The Missing Piece

“She fits with us so perfectly and completely,” he declared. “I love you forever, Isabella Evelyn, and I’m eternally grateful to you for bringing me joy beyond comprehension.”

The couple met while filming season 3 of the Bachelor Nation spinoff show in 2016.

Evan first appeared on season 12 of The Bachelorette. The erectile dysfunction expert was vying for JoJo Fletcher‘s heart but luckily ended up on Paradise.
