Back to Blonde! Britney Spears Flaunts Her Lighter ‘Do on Instagram: ‘It’s Real’

There she is! On Tuesday, October 15, Britney Spears took to Instagram to reveal that she’s finally crossed (back) over from the ~dark~ side. That’s right, y’all, the “Toxic” songstress, 37, is blonde again. 

“So maybe blondes do have more fun,” Britney captioned a cute video of herself lounging on the couch. “It’s not professional Hollywood hair and makeup … but hey! It’s real and I’m watching Vacation. P.S. Just got out of the pool so [my] hair is wet … sorry!”

Naturally, the pop star’s diehard fans had a lot of feelings about the transformation. After all, Brunette Britney vs. Blonde Britney is a pretty polarizing topic in the fandom. “NO. Brunettes are better!” one user commented. “Blonde is definitely best, Brit!” another countered. “I liked the dark more!” a third person chimed in, while a fourth rebutted with, “Yas! Blonde is back! Queen!”

Thankfully, a handful of Britney’s followers were able to remain neutral on the controversial topic. “Blonde or brunette, you’re always beautiful!” one gushed. “Queen of switching from blonde to brunette and blonde again. You’re gorgeous, Brit!” added another.

As it stands, Britney’s longtime beau, Sam Asghari, has yet to put in his two cents on his ladylove’s hair. However, if we had to guess, we bet the 25-year-old hunk thinks Britney looks stunning no matter what … because ya know, she does.

In fact, Sam is constantly fawning over his relationship with the Grammy-winner. Most recently, he opened up about the pair’s plans for the upcoming holiday season. “I got family out here, I got my girlfriend,” he told Entertainment Tonight in early October. “So we’re gonna be spending a lot of time with my family and my girlfriend.”

Sounds like the perfect way to spend the holidays, if you ask us! Here’s hoping part of Britney’s gift includes a certain ring for a certain finger. Considering the couple has been going strong since January 2017, we think it’s about time to seal the deal. In the meantime, keep slaying, Blonde Britney.
