Sometimes stress has its perks! Britney Spears has been dealing with a lot in the recent months since her father’s health has declined and on Wednesday, April 24, she excitedly revealed she lost five pounds.

“Who knew stress would be a great 5-pound weight loss? Yay for me,” she captioned an Instagram video of herself working out.

On Tuesday, April 24, she took to Instagram to assure fans she’s OK after news broke that she checked herself into a wellness center earlier this month to cope with what’s going on with her dad. “Hi guys, just checking in with all of you who are concerned about me,” she said in the clip. “All is well. My family has been going through a lot of stress and anxiety lately, so I just needed time to deal, but don’t worry, I’ll be back very soon.”

In the caption, she continued, “I wanted to say hi, because things that are being said have just gotten out of control!!! Wow!!! There’s rumors, death threats to my family and my team, and just so many things crazy things being said.”

In January, the “Womanizer” singer first opened up about her dad’s health in a lengthy, emotional post. “I don’t even know where to start with this, because this is so tough for me to say. I will not be performing my new show Domination,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “I’ve been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart. However, it’s important to always put your family first … and that’s the decision I had to make.”

The pop star continued, “A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalized and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him. I had to make the difficult decision to put my full focus and energy on my family at this time. I hope you all can understand. More information on ticket refunds is available on britneyspears.com. I appreciate your prayers and support for my family during this time. Thank you, and love you all … always.”

It looks like Brit is in better spirits these days and we’re so happy for her.
