Caitlyn Jenner Would ‘Love’ to ‘Get to Know’ Duchess Meghan: ‘They’ll Have a Ton in Common’
Keeping Up with the Monarchy? Now that Caitlyn Jenner has officially been cast on a British reality show, the former KUWTK star has her sights set on a much greater feat — a.k.a. befriending royalty!
“Caitlyn is a huge fan of Meghan Markle and admires her girl power attitude!” a source tells Life & Style exclusively. “She’d love to get to know the Duchess and thinks they’ll have a ton in common with them both being from L.A.”
In addition to forming a connection with the once-Suits actress, 38, Caitlyn also wants to make a real name for herself overseas. “She isn’t going on I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! to win. She’s using the show as a tool to build her U.K. profile and hopes she’ll be adored by millions of Brits once they really get to see her true personality,” adds the insider.
As it happens, Caitlyn, 70, joined the U.S. version of I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! in 2013. “Last time, I did it with a bunch of people from the States who I knew of,” Caitlyn said in a November 11 press release.
“This time, it’s a bunch of people from the U.K. who I potentially won’t know,” she continued. “But I love going over to the U.K. I love the British people, and I am looking forward to making some new friends, new allies and getting through it all.”
The Olympic medal-winner loves the U.K. so much, in fact, that she’s looking to plant roots there. “Caitlyn is shopping for her own reality show in London,” notes the source. “She loves the fashion, culture and sophistication the city has to offer and would move out there for good.”
Good luck to Caitlyn on her new reality TV venture. Oh, and of course, her potential blossoming friendship with Meghan! Keep calm and make a new BFF.
