Cardi B Explains Why She Was So Open About Getting Lipo: ‘It Is Just Such a Long, Hard Process’
There’s not much Cardi B doesn’t open up about, and we love her for it! The hip-hop star, 26, got candid about her recent liposuction procedure and why it’s essential for her to publicly address it.
“I want to explain to people how hard it is to process,” she told ET during the launch of her new Fashion Nova line on Wednesday, May 8. “I feel like people look at girls on Instagram and go, ‘Oh, they got their lipo done and it was so easy,”‘ she continued. “It is just such a long, hard process, almost like the same process as after you give birth to a baby and you see your body change and snapping it back.”
Despite going under the knife, Cardi is still dedicated to working hard. “I shouldn’t really be performing. I should’ve canceled today because moving too much is gonna f–k up my lipo,” she added. “But bitch, I’m still gonna get this mother f–king money back, let’s go!” The work doesn’t stop because the “Please Me” crooner will even be busy on her first Mother’s Day as a parent to her 9-month-old daughter, Kulture.
“I’m booked for Mother’s Day. I’m giving people a very hard time for booking me on Mother’s Day. I had just amazing plans for Mother’s Day,” she told the outlet. “I wanted to wear something very lilac and match with my daughter, probably go to brunch with my husband [Offset] and my mom.”
It’s no secret Cardi is at an all-time high. She attended the Met Gala for the second time on Monday, May 6, wearing a gigantic red dress that evidently became a topic of interest. She’s also catching the attention of legendary pop stars like Britney Spears, who shared a workout video with Cardi’s “I Like It” playing, and of course, she had to fangirl about it.
“It’s so dope because I’m a very big Britney Spears fan,” she said in the same interview, and added she would love to work with her. Crossing our fingers it happens!
