Pregnant Carrie Underwood Teases Baby No. 2’s Gender: “You’ve Got a 50 Percent Chance You’re Correct”
Girl or boy? Carrie Underwood just announced her second pregnancy a few days ago but the singer is already opening up about baby No. 2’s gender — and revealed she doesn’t yet know if she’s having a boy or girl.
“I don’t know what it is. You’ve got a 50 percent chance you’re correct. I have no idea,” the 35-year-old American Idol winner told The Tennessean on Wednesday, Aug. 15.
Carrie and her husband, Mike Fisher, 38, are already parents to a three-year-old son named Isaiah Fisher, who was born in February 2015. “I think he’ll be a really good big brother. I think he’ll be helpful,” the proud mom sweetly said of her firstborn.
Last week, Carrie took to Instagram to reveal her second pregnancy and confirm she’ll be kicking off her Cry Pretty 360 tour next May. The upcoming concert series actually won’t be the first time the country star has hit the road with a little one — she previously brought Isaiah on her Storyteller tour when he was just 11 months old. This time around, however, Carrie’s second baby will be just a newborn when her tour kicks off next spring.
“It’s going to be a different ball game, for sure. My brain, I’m such a planner. I want to know how it’s all going to go. But no matter who you are, you make it happen, you make it work, you get your team behind you,” she told The Tennessean.
In her pregnancy reveal clip posted to Instagram, Carrie excitedly told her fans and 7.6 million followers that she, Mike, and Isaiah are “over the moon” about expanding their family. “You might be wondering or asking, ‘Carrie, why is your tour starting in May?’ Well… yay!” she said in the video as the camera panned out, revealing the word “baby” spelled out above her in silver letter balloons. “Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond. This has just been a dream come true with [the] album and with baby news and all that stuff. We’re just so excited.”
