‘Bachelor’ Alum Ashley Spivey Admits to Dating Chris Harrison Once Upon a Time
In 2011, Ashley Spivey competed on Brad Womack‘s season of The Bachelor. And while the blonde beauty did not walk away with the final rose — she did capture the attention of host Chris Harrison. After reddit users asked whether Chris had ever slept with anyone from the reality show, Ashley dropped the throwback dating bombshell.
“I went on a date with him,” she wrote on the community forum. “Ashley [Hebert] and[ JP Rosenbaum] kinda set us up. We were supposed to go on a double date to Babbo but they pulled out super last minute. I got nervous and invited Robyn Ross (formerly of TV Guide who knew him pretty well) and Graham Bunn who I love so much. But it was super obvious during the date that he wanted it to be a 1-on-1.”
She went on to describe Chris as a “total gentleman” who paid for the whole meal. “We texted a lot after that,” she explained but unfortunately it was not meant to be. “I didn’t see him again until Ashley and JP’s wedding and he seemed kinda upset that I brought a date (who would later become my husband). Actually said to me, ‘Well you sure move on fast!'”
Ashley married her longtime boyfriend Steven Hunsberger in 2016 after meeting at a bar. “Once upon a time, Ashley decided to go on a reality show that most men don’t watch,” Ashley wrote on her website before they tied the knot. “Luckily for her, Steve loved watching The Bachelor and he decided that Ashley was his favorite and she definitely shouldn’t have been sent home on that two-on-one date. A couple of months later, Steve saw Ashley at Brother Jimmy’s and he decided to buy her a shot, but sadly she was dating someone else.” Fast forward, and the couple eventually ended up going out on date and the rest is history.
“The couple had their first date at Rose Bar, on a Wednesday, where they took one too many tequila shots and have been together ever since,” Ashley added. “They still love Wednesday date nights and still take a tequila shot on every date.” So cute.
And don’t feel bad for Chris. While the 46-year-old TV personality is not married — he has been linked to several women following his time with Ashley, including past contestants AshLee Frazier and Andi Dorfman. “He’s a good-looking guy and super nice,” AshLee gushed to In Touch in 2014.
