This Is Us Star Chrissy Metz Slammed By Ex Josh Stancil's Mom

Yikes. This Is Us star Chrissy Metz revealed her split from cameraman beau Josh Stancil on March 30 — and in an interview with Life & Style, Josh’s mom shares her thoughts on the breakup. "From what I’ve seen," Josh's mom, Gina Stancil, tells Life & Style exclusively, "Chrissy is too much in love with herself to have room for anyone else. She is dating herself."

I am overwhelmed with gratitude and love for each one of these special humans who secretly and not so secretly came out to support me yesterday at @bneventsgrove for my last stop on the book tour! Since Chrissy and Josh met on the set of her hit show in 2016, the actress has grappled with sudden fame and released her memoir, This Is Me, in March. "It's her time," Gina acknowledges. "I get it — everything is happening for her, and so fast. I couldn't imagine doing all she does and keeping up a relationship."

Gina says in the nearly two years her son dated Chrissy, 37, they never once met in person. Chrissy, Gina says, "was always too busy."
