Dance studio mogul Abby Lee Miller has had a lot to overcome in the last few years. The owner of the Abby Lee Dance Company studio left the reality show that made her studio world famous, Dance Moms, in 2017, amid fraud charges and jail time. A year later, the 52-year-old choreographer was diagnosed with cancer after suffering from what doctors originally thought was a rare spinal infection. But after all of her struggles, Abby took to social media on Dec. 29, to announce something super exciting: she’s returning to Dance Moms!

“OMG! Can you believe I’m going to film Season 8 of Dance Moms,” the coach captioned an Instagram photo about her return. “Yes, it’s official! We begin [at] the end of [January]! #dancemoms #aldcalways.” NGL, the “ALDC always” hashtag has us a little choked up! We’re so excited for this we can barely contain ourselves, y’all.

Abby looks pretty stoked herself to be back in the hot seat at ALDC and we really don’t blame her. Plus, she’s looking seriously incredible right now!

The dance coach was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma in April, which is a rare form of non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a cancer that has developed in her immune cells. Doctors initially thought Abby was suffering from a rare spinal condition, as she felt “excruciating neck pain” and was rushed to the hospital where her condition started to rapidly decline and caused her to become paralyzed from the neck down.

The paralysis left her wheelchair-bound and unsure that she would ever walk again. But thankfully, she posted a video of her feet walking on a treadmill to her IG on Nov. 29, defying the odds.

It seems like everything is coming up roses now for Miss Abby Lee and we really can’t wait to see her undoubtedly epic return when Season 8 of Dance Moms hits our screens. Congrats, Abby!
