Vanessa Grimaldi Reveals She’s Still on Good Terms With Former Fiancé Nick Viall! (EXCLUSIVE)
There’s no bad blood between Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi. The former Bachelor couple called off their engagement this past summer but that doesn’t mean there is any love lost between the pair.
“We’re on good terms [and] we’re very supportive of each other,” Vanessa told Life & Style exclusively at KIIS FM’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball. At the time of their split, Nick, 37, and Vanessa, 30, reassured fans they still cared for each other deeply. “It’s with a great amount of heartbreak for the both us as we have decided to end our engagement,” they said in a joint statement. “We gave this relationship our all and we are saddened that we did not get the fairy-tale ending we hoped for. We will continue to be there for each other no matter what. This hasn’t been an easy decision, however, as we part ways, we do so with lots of love and admiration for each other.”
Nick also gushed about his former fiancée recently, telling Access Hollywood that he and Vanessa “still have very positive thoughts and feelings for each other.” So does this mean the reality stars are ready to start seeing other people?
“I think it’s important,” Vanessa said, “to just take time for yourself and feel comfortable in your own space, alone. And I’m really enjoying that time to myself right now.” However, she was recently spotted getting cozy with professional hockey player Brendan Gallagher, so she’s not completely against dating. Nick, on the other hand, is open about looking for a new partner.
“I hope so,” he said of falling in love again, “It might have given up on me, I don’t know. But yes, I hope one day that it works out for me. You know, I’m out there dating.” Let’s hope new Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. has a bit more luck.
