The countdown is officially on! Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s dramatic season of The Bachelor has come to an end — and Chris Harrison wasted no time in announcing who would be following the former race car driver as the next Bachelorette.

While contestants past (Kristina Schulman, Vanessa Grimaldi) and present (Tia Booth, Kendall Long) were in the running to hand out the roses, Becca Kufrin is the lucky lady! This news come on the heels of the brunette beauty’s devastating breakup with Arie — who called off their engagement just weeks after proposing on the finale to pursue runner-up Lauren Burnham.

“This was one of the easier decisions we have ever made,” Chris Harrison told Becca, who admitted her decision was also a no-brainer. “It was easy too once I got over the initial heartbreak. At the end of the day, the show is about finding love and I have so much love to give. I’m just ready to do this… Let’s do the damn thing.”

And the network wasted no time in introducing Becca to the first group of eligible men — which included British cutie Lincoln, who wasted no time calling Arie a “wanker,” and groovy banjo player Ryan. Is it May 28 yet?

There is no one more deserving than Becca, 27. Despite the embarrassment of being dumped on national television, she is open to finding love again. “I feel like now that I’ve seen all sides of the story… I wasn’t for him,” she said before the announcement. “I would never want him to feel like he was in a relationship where he was trapped. If I’m not the one, I’m not the one.”

Hopefully, she will follow in her predecessor Rachel Lindsay’s footsteps, who is happily engaged to Bryan Abasolo. The couple recently revealed they are planning to tie the knot in 2018. “We haven’t set anything yet. We definitely want to get married this year, and that’s the plan,” Bryan told People. “Right now, we enjoy showing everybody how in love we are. And I think that would be the culmination of our love story, or the beginning of it. I think we would definitely enjoy doing it on national television.” Now the question remains — will Becca’s ex Ross make a comeback?
