Doug also announced the exciting news on his Instagram, but he chose to share a video clip that documented their car ride into New Jersey to close on their home, with his mom driving and Jamie sitting in the front seat.

Fans who have followed Doug and Jamie's journey from the first season of MAFS were so happy for the couple and they flooded the comments section with well wishes.

"Congratulations!! A Beautiful home for a beautiful family!" one fan wrote. "So proud of you guys for showing that anything is possible in a relationship if you really try and put your heart into it. You guys have come a long way already and it's great following your love story."

Jamie has been an open book about her journey with Doug and it hasn't been an easy one. The couple experienced a heartbreaking miscarriage last July, but they excitedly announced that they were expecting their rainbow baby — a child that is born after a miscarriage, stillbirth or another type of infant loss — back in January.

Now, Jamie is in the last week of her second trimester which means she's just about three months away from welcoming their baby girl and she wrote about her new home in her 27-week update earlier this week.

"We close on our very first home on Friday and I'm so READY to begin her nursery!" she wrote. "Nesting stage is in full force!"
