Dua Lipa Shares Details of Her New Skincare Line Made to ‘Restore and Protect’ Your Skin
Singer Dua Lipa is launching a new skincare line inspired by her busy life on the road.
The skincare line, simply called DUA, was created in collaboration with luxury skincare brand Augustinus Bader.
In a new interview with British Vogue, she shared the ins and outs of putting together the line.
“In 2016, I started touring quite heavily, and I needed a skincare routine that wasn’t high maintenance,” she shared, recounting her own journey with skincare.
Lipa naturally had specific skin issues of her own on her mind while she was working on the line.
“I wanted to create something that felt like it could really restore and protect my skin,” she continued in the interview. “I get the occasional breakouts and dryness, especially from long-haul flights. I did a lot of learning on the job, and now I feel like I know how to combat the busyness and the madness of my schedule and still take care of myself.”
As a pop star on the go, it’s unsurprising that Lipa kept things simple. The DUA line consists of just three products: a cleanser, a serum, and a moisturiser.
“A three-step skincare line feels really manageable and not so daunting,” Lipa said. “It’s easy to take with you, wherever you go, and it’s powerful.”
However, the biggest selling point of the line is its ingredients, more specifically, Lipa’s personalized key ingredient, TFC5. TFC5 is Lipa’s own patented version of Augustinus Bader’s trademark ingredient TFC8.
“TFC5 is the fifth evolution of Augustinus Bader’s breakthrough TFCTM (Trigger Factor Complex) technology,” Aimee Nottingham, director of formulation for Augustinus Bader, also shared with British Vogue.
TFC5 is made specifically to combat the dry, dull skin that can come with a busy schedule like Lipa’s.
On November 6, Lipa shared her excitement for the line’s launch on Instagram, posting a carousel of images of her posing with the products captioned, “Behind the scenes of @DUAbyAB launch!! still can’t stop smiling about this.”
The line is currently available for purchase on its own website, duabyab.com.
