Eric Decker Says ‘It’s Been Awesome’ Being a Stay at Home Dad While Jessie Works
Modern family! Recently retired baller Eric Decker is happy to report that he stays home with the kids while his wife, Jessie James Decker, pursues her dreams. The couple looked gorgeous as they walked the red carpet together during the 2019 Academy of Country Music Awards on April 7, and dished about the exciting things happening in Jessie’s career.
“She opened the store up, she is on tour next week, it has been awesome to give her that freedom to do her thing and be home with the babies,” the retired football player, 32, gushed about his accomplished wife, 30. The country singer is kicking off her tour in April and just opened a boutique called Kittenish in Nashville this past February. With all of that going on, it’s great to see she has such a supportive hubby.
The couple shares three children — Vivianne, 5, Eric II, 3, and Forrest, 12 months — and have been enjoying their new family of five. “He is the easiest baby out of the three,” the “Lights Down Low” singer admitted at the April 7 awards show about her youngest son. “He has just been the best addition. I look at Eric all the time [and] it’s like we picked him from a grocery store.” The proud mom added, “He just completes the family so well.”
As far as how they keep the spark alive in their marriage, it comes to just enjoying each other’s company. “We love spending time together,” Jessie exclusively told Life & Style about her hot hubby. Their secret is setting aside time for just the two of them. She continued, “I think for us, we just like spending time together and when the kids go down at 7:30 p.m., that is our time to be one-on-one and have a glass of wine and just talk to each other, you know, just be alone. I think that is how we do it.”
Whatever they’re doing, it’s totally working!
