Oh no! George Clooney is lashing out at French magazine Voici today after the outlet published the first photos of his twins, Ella and Alexander, in their latest issue. The publication’s latest cover advertises “the very first pictures of the twins in the arms of their parents” at the Clooney family home in Lake Como, Italy.

EXCLUSIVE: George Clooney Plans to Move Amal and Twins Back to LA for Security Reasons

“Over the last week, photographers from Voici magazine scaled our fence, climbed our tree, and illegally took pictures of our infants inside our home. Make no mistake — the photographers, the agency, and the magazine will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. The safety of our children demands it,” the 56-year-old actor said in a statement to E! News on Friday, July 28.

Voici later defended their use of the images. “George and Amal have been very public personalities for the last few years. Their wedding in Venice, in September 2014, was a very mediatic event; the pictures of them smiling to the public were seen all around the world,” the statement began.

“The birth of their twins, Ella and Alexander, had also been commented on a lot, by themselves and their families. The images published in Voici this Friday are a response to a public demand,” a rep for the magazine continued. “People love George Clooney and have been following his life story for years now. Those pictures do not put in danger Mr. Clooney, his wife, or their kids.”

George and Amal, 39, welcomed baby Alexander at 12:54 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6 and his little sister, Ella, two minutes later at 12:56 p.m. In Touch Weekly previously revealed the A-list couple was expecting their first children back in January 2017. “Amal is pregnant with twins: a boy and a girl,” an insider close to the lawyer told the mag. “When George and Amal found out it was twins they were surprised, but also a little scared because they both had said that one was enough.”
