Our hearts are with the Hadids. Bella and Gigi Hadid‘s grandmother, Ans van den Herik, died at 78-years-old on August 30. Yolanda Hadid‘s mother battled cancer late in her life, as revealed by Bella in June 2017, during a surprise trip to Holland for the birthday of her “Oma.” Now, the family has taken to social media to share their thoughts and tributes to the family matriarch. “RIP my guardian angel Mama, thank you for loving me the way the way that you did and for making me the woman that I am today,” the 55-year-old former model wrote in her lengthy post for her mom, complete with nine old photos of her.

“On angel wings you were taken away, but in my heart you will always stay….. I can not imagine this life without you but I pray that I will hear you whisper in the tallest trees and feel your love in the gentle breeze … When I miss you the most, our beautiful memories will hold you close … Our Love is eternal and you will always be with me and I will always be with you beyond the bounds of this realm.”

“Rest In Peace my beautiful mama, I will honor you for the rest of my days,” she concluded. “Until we meet again, I LOVE YOU. Yolanda.”

Bella and Gigi’s dad, Mohamed Hadid, also made a sweet post for his former mother-in-law. “May God bless your soul dearest Ans,” he wrote on a photo of the late family member. “It is a sad day for the Van den Herik and Hadid family, the friends and family that loved you and for the world that has known and created an amazing life.”

“You left a legacy behind you, a piece of you, in your kids and grandkids,” he continued. “Everyone is proud of you, what you have done and accomplished. The Heavens will cheer you when you enter. May God give you an easy entry into his Heavens, and forever to watch over us all. Please say hello to my Mama Khair. We love you.” He even tagged his ex-wife in the dedication.

For the 22-year-old model, a more introspective tribute seemed best. Bella posted a series of photos with her grandmother, the first being a childhood photo she aptly captioned, “forever.”

“I wish I could hug you right now,” she captioned a newer photo of herself and her late grandmother cuddled up together and laughing.

Gigi posted her own tribute later in the day, praising her late grandmother’s life and struggle. “OUR QUEEN ANGEL fought cancer six times in her life with courage, strength, and grace while being the greatest mother and grandmother,” she captioned a series of photos of them together at Gigi’s farm. “She is an honorable guide we will carry with us forever. We love you more than words, our beautiful wonderful Oma.”
