Golden Bachelorette’s Joan Vassos Jokes Her ‘Old Boyfriends Are Hot’ Amid Chock Chapple Engagement

Chock Chapple may have won Joan Vassos’ heart, but the former Golden Bachelorette knows she dated a group of top-tier men during her season and joked about how “hot” they were.

On Sunday, December 8, Golden Bachelorette season 1 contestant Jonathan Rone shared a video via Instagram of himself and former costars Jack Lencioni, Gary Levingston and Keith Gordon jamming out in the car to Taylor Dayne’s “Tell It to My Heart.”

“My old boyfriends are hot!” Joan, 61, wrote in the comments section of the post.

It’s no secret that the Maryland native gained a deep love for her former contestants, even if their relationships ended platonically. In fact, Joan previously admitted to hooking some of the men up with some of her former costars from The Golden Bachelor.

Who Do You Want to See as the Next Golden Bachelor?

“I’ve already set three of them up — we have love connections that are brewing right now. And I have two more that I’m looking at and working on,” Joan told Us Weekly in an interview published on November 20. “We have to see how that is going to unfold. There are already five guys from this season [now] involved with somebody. They came off of this and they were popular guys, and I’m not surprised that some of them have girlfriends already!”

While it’s unclear who all of the Bachelor Nation couples are, Golden Bachelor season 1 runner-up Leslie Fhima raised eyebrows when she shared selfies with Golden Bachelorette’s Jordan Heller via Instagram in October. Jordan, 62, invited her to his private suite to watch a soccer game in Los Angeles and they continued communication afterward.

“I liked Jordan when I was watching the show. I liked him the best for me,” Leslie, 65, admitted during the November 1 episode of the “Almost Famous” podcast. “I think all of the guys are great. I’m just saying, if it was me, if I was the Golden Bachelorette and he was on that show, um, you know, you know how you think.”

She later gushed, “And we’re both Jewish, and at the end of the day, that’s important to me as well. It’s not a hard stop … but I mean if you meet someone and they are your faith, that’s just icing on the cake.”

While Joan’s exes seem to have booming love lives after their journeys on The Golden Bachelorette, she is enjoying her engagement with Chock and is “not in a rush to get married.”

“Joan wants to stay in Maryland and has said that from the get-go, while Chock is in Kansas. They’re shopping for an apartment in NYC, which will be their rendezvous point,” a source exclusively told Life & Style in a story published on Sunday, December 8. “They think it’ll be romantic. They want to try this out and want their respective families to get to know each other before they take the next step and they see nothing wrong with that.”

The insider added, “They’re hopeful they can work it out and are telling friends not to worry, but others aren’t so sure and hope this relationship doesn’t go down the way of Gerry [Turner] and Theresa [Nist].”
