Congratulations are in order for Good Morning America host Sara Haines!
The weekend lifestyle anchor gave birth to son Alec Richard Shifrin with husband Max Shifrin on Saturday.

The couple shared the exciting news on GMA's Instagram page, as well as live-streamed moments from the baby's arrival on Periscope, which included walking their dog before heading to the hospital.
"On March 5th, 2016 we met our little guy Alec Richard Shifrin (named after our dads). He weighed in at 7 lbs. 5 ounces," the 38-year-old captioned the above photo. "We are excited, exhausted and possibly still in shock, but soaking it all in. Thank you for all of the kind messages and encouraging words. It will take a village to raise this little man.”

This is the first child for the couple, who wed in 2014 and announced the pregnancy last September.
